Where can I build this?
This farm can be built anywhere in the Overworld! It’s recommended to avoid ice biomes so your water doesn’t freeze (or place a lot of glowstone or torches).

How many Tridents do I need?
This farm only requires 1–2 tridents, but 3–4 would be a little more efficient.

Will my Trident lose durability?
Only on the first throw, so no.

Can I use campfires instead?
Sure, but you won't get XP.

Why are my Tridents disappearing?
Do not log out while the farm is running, and make sure to stay within a reasonable radius (10–15 blocks).

Double Rates
Hold a sword with the "Looting" enchantment to increase your rates!

Can I expand this?

What side of the portal do mobs spawn on?
You will need to create a temporary portal, then light it either with a dispenser connected to a redstone clock (with flint and steel inside) or manually light and break the portal (mine the obsidian or use a piston). This will determine which side the mobs spawn on. Every world is different, and there are no coordinates or directions to memorize. If you build this farm in the wrong direction, mobs will spawn on your redstone!
